This is a very well made watch band and I am happy that it is made in the US. It has a gloss but is not cheap shiny. It has a look far richer and dressier than what it cost. Padding and sticking are very good, just right. It is a bit stiff when you first put it on but that is to be expected. I know it will become more flexible as I wear it. I actually believe that it will last longer on my Swiss made Automatic than the original band. I have not had very good luck with the original bands that have come with Swiss or Japanese watches. Yes, I own too many watches. For me, only Timex bands seem to last and last. I also like the fact I can change out the buckle from gold to silver or if the pins are removable, use the original watch buckle. This band is far superior and worth the $$$.
