I bought this to clip on my belt loop so it’s easy to read by flipping it up because the face is upside down. Seems durable. The only problem is that I can’t figure out how to change it from military time to AM/PM time display.Very accurate with time.Compass not accurate.I wear the watch on my lanyard around my neck at work everyday. A little heavy but makes me think it’s more durable! I like it.I like the watch over all I have bought three other douglas watchesLove this watch its taken a beating over the last 7 years. I have put it through the washing machine. The inde glow stoped working a few years ago. then 3 weeks ago i thought I broke it or something and tryed a new battery and the inde glow started working as well i would have broken the timex i use to carry 3 times by now.I love this watch! I work in corrections and I clipped it to my badge which is connected to my duty belt at work. Easy to read display. 12 and 24 hour modes. It has handled being sprayed with OC (that’s all I can speak on about water resistance lol). It has some good weight so I am careful to make sure it is secured correctly because I’m not sure it would survive the concrete floors at my job. Overall, this watch is worth the money.Works well, only complaint is the count down timer doesn't have an alarm when it hits zero. When I first took the watch out of the box, the button to set the time didn't make anything flash (as it was supposed to). I tried again, bringing the button in from a bit of an angle, and it worked -- and continued to work for months......until it didn't. I got out the box and saw "lifetime warranty" but only on the movement. This was a silly plastic button that stopped working, not the whole watch movement.I took the watch to a Dakota kiosk at the local mall, and the gentleman there said it would have to be sent in. I had seen on the sheet in the box that such service could cost up to $20 plus S&H. But he said the warranty for the whole watch was for five years -- it was covered. That was the very good news. The semi-bad news was that shipping it off would take 6-8 weeks. So, here I am without a watch for a while, but at least Dakota stood by their product. If you have a Dakota kiosk nearby, I can recommend this watch. If not, then you might end up spending almost the price of the watch on a repair if something silly stops working. The watch itself -- very solid device and the crystal has remained un-scuffed for about 6 months. I like the look of it, and the carabiner is sturdy and easy to clip and unclip. No qualms with the aesthetics or functionality of the timepiece itselfI like having a timer on a carabiner so I can hook to to a pant loop and keep track of breaks and lunch. The instructions for setting are not super easy to understand. I wish it was a little less heavy but it is very nicely constructed and solid.Great for what it is, just make sure to get it for less than £50, as some sellers are super expensive. Everything works fine, the compass isn't exactly accurate at times but I didn't buy it for that. Easy to set the time and has decent modes including a light. The only downside is that it all metal so it is likely to be damaged when dropped unlike an abs plastic shock proof alternative. Unfortinately this is pretty much your only option for a carabiner clip watch in digital format. Was dubious about paying too much for a watch for work as always breaking or getting lost. Working busy ambulance shifts is always a good test. I just wish I'd discovered this one years ago! Has everything I need, time date seconds to immediate view. Light up digits is a handy feature whereas the compass is a fancy but ineffective add on. Overall I can say this is worth paying the extra for , it's robust practical accurate and aesthetically pleasingBought for frontline ambulance staff. Perfect. Sturdy, easy to wear (either hanging from lanyard or a belt). Has a light too. Arrived quickly, and well packaged. It's watch brilliant. Very clear to read even at 3 am in the morning at the end of 4 shifts. Easy to see when noting down times especially for drugs or scene times. Even a light on the watch for them wonderful dark jobs. Highly recommended for front line Ambulance service personnelThis has a nice clear display, easy to use, perfect replacement for my old analog watch
