The Ratio FreeDiver 1000M Red Dial Stainless Steel Quartz 1050HA93-02V-RED is for them who love to explore! The Ratio FreeDiver Helium Safe 1000M Red Dial Stainless Steel Quartz 1050HA93-02V-RED is a heavy watch. The heavy-gauge surgical steel construction (case, screw-down crown, engraved case-back w/image of a free diver and the deployment clasp) gives it the weight. It pleasantly assures its presence with its heft while increasing the momentum of your hand’s movements, rather than tying you down with its weight. The hour and minute hands of the Ratio FreeDiver Helium Safe 1000M Red Dial Stainless Steel Quartz 1050HA93-02V-RED are unique in their shapes. The hour and minute hands are a mix between arrow and sword shapes while the seconds-hand is an improvisation on the sword-style. The red-border on the minutes hand ensures you do not miss out on its position while using the bezel as an elapsed-time indicator. This is a neat watch with a well machined case and bracelet, particularly for the price. Fairly heavy at 7.3 ounces as received. The Seiko movement is relatively inexpensive as a Google search indicated it is available for circa $12 or so. The bracelet is readily sized as it uses standard split pins for links assembly so a standard watch bracelet sizing tool works fine. The bracelet does include a folding dive extension for use with a wet suit. Attachment of the bracelet to the watch is by slotted screws. Clear instructions for use of the helium release valve is not included.
